Luminance and Contrast
In a truly dark room—one with black velvet ceilings and dark matte walls—the performance of a projector is entirely exposed. An elevated black floor turns space scenes into milky gray haze, destroying the perceived depth of the image.
The Pursuit of Absolute Black
We advocate exclusively for native 4K, 3-chip projection architectures (such as LCoS or SXRD) that offer immense native contrast. Dynamic irises and laser dimming are tools to extend dynamic range, but they cannot fix a poor native contrast ratio.
HDR and Dynamic Tone Mapping
High Dynamic Range (HDR) was mastered for flat panels capable of 1000+ nits. A projector on a 130-inch screen will struggle to reach 100 nits. Therefore, frame-by-frame dynamic tone mapping is strictly required to compress the bright highlights without crushing shadow detail.
Color Volume
Full coverage of the DCI-P3 color space, ensuring rich, saturated reds and deep greens.
Acoustically Transparent Screens
Woven screen materials that allow speakers to be placed exactly where the actors' mouths are, ensuring perfect audio-visual synchronization.
